Accessibility, my main issue and why i used Apple maps is for tactile watch notifications for turns. If you open MagicEarth on your watch so it is on (this ap will not run in background - which I actually like!) it WILL GIVE TACTILE VIBE NOTIFICATIONS!
I have not had any problems with navigating. I have enjoyed some features better than google and apple maps. It seems to lack nothing. Reads in gps coords well, also works offline, traffic data seems correct. It does seem to be privacy focused indeed, and I bet is better than google or apple at least.
