In a low dusty valley there lies several man-made tunnels in soft yellow stone. This valley was mined, and the material was exported to construct the buildings in nearby settlements.
This is one of those areas that was mined. When mining stopped a small fort or retreat of sorts was created here.
Several tunnel collapses have occured due to seasonal flooding. The elevated section is kept dry all year round.
