A little behind the times but I just finished Pocket Atlas of Remote Islands By Judith Schalansky and loved it. The atlas has maps along with short stories and anecdotes about some of the most remote islands in the world. The stories look at isolation, mutual aid, resilience, exploitation of "virgin" natural resources, utopias and much more.

A look back at an older set of maps for ! Paleo Gaming commissioned me to create a map of their fantasy setting, Draconia. I also got the chance to create a large map of one of its main continents, Tristor. Even though the maps are in sepia, they are filed with tons of flavourful storytelling seeds!
