The "Download object by ID" dialog in JOSM is very smart. It takes whatever you have on your clipboard, even the full URL (even a dirty one including the /history or = block) and will know exactly how to retrieve the object. Very easy to copy-paste from the browser.
I wish other dialogs would re-use the code, in particular "Revert changeset" or "Undelete object by ID", which have stricter rules about input syntax.

Suggestions how to do this I used to use () to do this, but it looks down these days. The idea is to let online meeting participants see a map of the world of where everyone is. Practically, they would push a pin on the map, and it would show everyone's location.

How much world-building do you do before starting your first draft (if any)
The reality takes shape as the characters move around on the board while I write. Sometimes, I spend some time designing something or even trying out recipes, but I never need to pause the writing to do some world-building. It's part of the writing process.
